When Two Worlds Meet - Ongley Composition
Marc Ongley and George Golla
In the late 80's I had great pleasure in making an album with my friend, George Golla the Australian Jazz Legend. This, the title track, I wrote especially for the album and is the only one of two tracks to have survived.

I remastered this in March and have just redone it again using my vintage Lexicon Digital Reverb unit. I hope you like the sounds. I wrote the chord progression for this tune on my way to school last Friday 16th January 2015. I then wrote the melody when I got home that afternoon. The next day I recorded the track. I hope this brings some sunshine

I wrote the chord progression for this tune on my way to school last Friday 16th January 2015. I then wrote the melody when I got home that afternoon. The next day I recorded the track. I hope this brings some sunshine and warmth into your day during this cold London winter spell.

Written on the 12th January 2015 this is marked: 'Homage to George Shearing'. You hear the typical piano/guitar doubling on the head (main theme) that characterised that 'Shearing Sound'. I'm playing all the instruments in real time over a pre-recorded live drum track.
